How We Package Sintered Stone Slabs for Safe International Shipping?

When importing sintered stone slabs from China, product quality is important — but packaging quality matters just as much.

For overseas stone distributors, fabricators, and cabinet factories, damaged slabs during shipping can mean project delays, extra costs, and unhappy customers. That is why at BJS Sintered Stone, we pay close attention to every packaging detail before containers leave our factory.

Today alone, we are loading 9 full 40HQ containers for Middle East customers. Every month, we ship more than 70 containers with this packaging standard.

Here is how we protect our sintered stone slabs during international shipping.

Why Sintered Stone Slab Packaging Matters

Sintered stone slabs are strong in daily applications, but during long-distance transportation, they still face risks such as:

  • Container vibration
  • Uneven pressure during loading
  • Rain and moisture exposure
  • Sunlight and heat during port storage
  • Impact during unloading and handling

Without proper packaging, even high-quality slabs can arrive damaged.

That is why professional sintered stone slab packaging is critical for export orders.

Preparing the Slabs Before Loading

Before loading, the slabs are first arranged and secured into export bundles.

Each bundle is carefully checked for:

  • Size consistency
  • Edge condition
  • Surface cleanliness
  • Quantity accuracy

Our standard export bundle contains 24 slabs per steel frame, depending on slab thickness and project requirements.

Heavy-Duty Steel Frames for Maximum Protection

The foundation of our packaging system is a high-strength steel frame.

These steel frames are:

  • Thick and reinforced
  • Designed for long-distance ocean freight
  • Stable during forklift handling
  • Suitable for container stacking and transportation

Compared with lightweight packaging commonly seen in the market, reinforced steel frames help reduce movement and pressure damage during transit.

For large-format sintered stone slabs, frame stability is especially important.

Controlled Strapping and Fixing Process

After the slabs are placed into the steel frame, we use horizontal and vertical strapping belts to secure the entire bundle.

Each bundle uses:

  • 3 horizontal fixing straps
  • 4 vertical fixing straps

This process is not simply about tightening the straps as much as possible.

If the pressure is too strong, the slabs may experience uneven stress.
If it is too loose, the slabs may move during transportation.

Our team follows strict tension control standards to keep the balance between protection and pressure distribution.

sintered stone packing with heat shrink film

Heat Shrink Film for Outdoor and Sea Freight Protection

The outer layer uses customized heat shrink film.

After heat treatment, the film tightly wraps the entire bundle to create an additional protection layer against:

  • Dust
  • Rainwater
  • Sun exposure
  • Humidity during sea shipping

Compared with ordinary protective film, our shrink film is thicker and more durable for export conditions.

This step is especially important for containers that may stay at ports for extended periods before unloading.

Airbag Cushion Protection Between Bundles

Inside the container, airbags are placed between steel frames.

These airbags help:

  • Reduce vibration during transportation
  • Absorb impact between bundles
  • Prevent movement inside the container

This additional buffering system helps lower the risk of edge damage during long-distance shipping.

Shipping to the Middle East Every Month

The Middle East is one of our major export markets for sintered stone slabs.

Every month, dozens of containers leave our factory for overseas distributors, stone processors, and cabinet manufacturers.

Over the years, we have continued improving both our product quality and export packaging standards to meet international market expectations.

Reliable packaging is not only about protection — it is also part of professional supply chain service.

Why Overseas Buyers Care About Packaging Quality

For distributors and cabinet factories, good packaging means:

  • Lower breakage rates
  • Safer unloading
  • Reduced replacement costs
  • Better project timelines
  • More confidence when importing from China

In today’s market, suppliers are everywhere. But consistent quality and responsible export service are what truly make long-term cooperation possible.
